MAP OF THE DUCHY OF POMERANIA.

A detailed, hand-colored engraved map of the Duchy of Pomerania and the island of Rügen, oriented with North at the top. The Baltic Sea features two ornate compass roses with radiating rhumb lines, several sailing vessels, and a sea monster.

At the top center, a large heraldic coat of arms is supported by two "wild men" holding clubs. In the bottom-right corner, an elaborate decorative cartouche holds the title, surmounted by a seated allegorical female figure and flanked by cherubs. In the bottom-left corner, a pedestal displays distance scales and the publisher's imprint, flanked by a surveyor in red clothing using an instrument and a scholar or official in black robes.

The map depicts coastal features, rivers, forests, and numerous towns and cities highlighted with red coloring. The border is a graduated scale showing degrees of latitude and longitude.
