An etched panoramic view of Venice, Italy, from the lagoon. The title "VENETIA." is prominently featured at the top center within an ornate, scrolled cartouche draped with heavy garlands of fruit and flowers. The skyline of the city stretches across the background, showing recognizable landmarks such as the Campanile and the domes of St. Mark's Basilica. The water in the foreground and middle ground is active with various vessels: to the left, a large galley-style boat is filled with people; in the center foreground, a small rowboat is packed with passengers; and on the right, the highly decorated stern of a large ship is visible, with figures on its deck. Other sailing ships and smaller craft are scattered across the lagoon. The entire scene is enclosed in a decorative border with a scale-like pattern. Small inscriptions identifying the artist and publisher are located in the bottom right corner of the print.
