MAINTZ.

The entire scene is enclosed in a decorative rectangular frame; at the top center, the title "MAINTZ." is set within a scrolled cartouche draped with heavy garlands of fruit and foliage. In the lower foreground, on a grassy rise, a group of travelers is depicted, including a man on horseback, a woman standing with a child, a seated figure, and a dog. To the right, the settlement on the near bank is labeled "Caffel." A long wooden bridge spans the river, labeled "Rhein Flu.", connecting to the densely built city of Mainz. The city's skyline is characterized by its numerous church spires and the prominent Mainz Cathedral. Various small boats are visible on the water under a sky with large, billowing clouds.
