A two-page spread from a historical volume. The left page is a verso leaf that shows a prominent mirror-image offset of a frontispiece from a facing page. The offset image depicts a central figure standing upon a pedestal or plinth which contains text. Faint architectural elements and additional figures are visible in the background. At the bottom of this page is a circular library stamp. The right page is a recto leaf containing the original frontispiece, which has faded to the point of being nearly invisible; only the faint outlines of a rectangular border and a figure on the right side are discernible.
The following text on the left page is a mirror-image offset from the original frontispiece. Only fragments are legible in reverse.
This page contains the original frontispiece illustration, but the ink is extremely faded. No text is clearly legible on this page.
