A circular engraved map of the Lordship of Groningen original: "Groninga Dominium", set within a square frame. The four corners of the frame are filled with ornate black-and-white floral scrollwork. The map is oriented with North at the top, and the cardinal directions are labeled in the outer border. The geography depicts the northern Netherlands, including the Ems river, the Dollard bay, and numerous towns and fortifications connected by a network of roads and waterways. Two decorative cartouches are present: one at the bottom center containing the title and another at the top right containing the scale of miles.
