A detailed, hand-colored engraved map of Holstein and surrounding regions in northern Germany and southern Denmark. The map features topography including rivers, forests, and numerous settlements. Large regional labels are spread across the geography in capital letters. At the bottom right, a decorative title cartouche is flanked by cherubs and an ornamental shield. In the bottom left, another decorative cartouche shows five heraldic coats of arms held by cherubs over a text block. A compass rose is visible in the upper right within the Baltic Sea ("Part of the Baltic Sea"). The Elbe River ("Elbe Stream" / "Albis River") dominates the lower left corner.
