The land masses are outlined in colors (pink, yellow, green) and filled with topographical details such as forests, hills, and settlements. The sea is labeled with various names in Latin and Dutch. In the lower-right corner, there is a large, ornate title cartouche featuring a royal coat of arms at the top, supported by cherubs and sea-related figures (tritons and nymphs) emerging from the waves below. A compass rose is visible in the lower-left quadrant. At the bottom center, there is a scale bar with four different units of measurement.
