Kisell had the opportunity, before the break of day, to throw 2,000 soldiers into the city, making the retreat again with little or no loss. In such a way, the Garrison refreshed and invigorated itself not a little from that which they found in the quarters of the Turks, which caused the Turks to break off the siege and return to Caniza. And Kisell was received with much honor at Kerment, for which I received a good reward and promotion to become Captain of Cavalry original: "Ritmeester" over 250 horsemen, under the command of the Colonel Voldo, Count of Meldritch.
