Schenk, Petrus, graveur en uitgever, 1661-1711/13 · 1705

A detailed copperplate engraving showing the rear view of the Town Hall of Amsterdam (the current Royal Palace). The building is a massive, three-story classical structure with a large central pediment containing relief sculptures, topped by a large globe. The square in front of the building is populated with many small figures of people on foot and in horse-drawn carriages. On the far left, several long pieces of timber are stacked on the ground. The engraving is framed by a thin border.
