Old Church
A detailed copperplate engraving of the Oude Kerk (Old Church) in Amsterdam. The church is shown from an exterior perspective across a canal. It features a complex Gothic structure with multiple high-pitched gables and a prominent, ornate wooden spire (the lantern tower) rising from the crossing. Rows of trees line the square in front of the building. In the foreground, a stone bridge with a wooden railing spans the water, with several figures in period dress walking across it or standing on the quay. To the left, a small gabled house stands near the water's edge.
