A copperplate engraving of the Nieuwe Lutherse Kerk (New Lutheran Church) in Amsterdam. The church is a monumental circular building dominated by a large ribbed dome and a small cupola at its peak. It is situated on a quay along a canal. To the right of the church are several multi-story Dutch gabled houses. The waterfront is lined with trees and small figures of people walking or engaged in activity. In the foreground, several boats are on the water, including a larger sailing vessel with its mast tilted and two smaller rowing boats.
