A detailed, hand-colored engraved map of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the late 17th or early 18th century, produced by the cartographer Johann Baptist Homann. The map shows the vast territories of the Crown of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, extending from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Black Sea (Zabache Sea) in the south. Political subdivisions (Palatinates) are outlined and named. Major regions like Greater Poland, Lesser Poland, Lithuania, and Ukraine are color-coded. A decorative compass rose is placed in the Baltic Sea, and a legend box appears in the upper left corner. Densely packed with toponyms for cities, towns, and geographical features like the Vistula and Dnieper rivers.
