In the Specimen that we now offer, we have placed no typefaces that are found in our previous Type Specimen published in 1784, except for the new Brevier and Colonel, because the prints of these in the aforementioned Specimen did not satisfy us at all, as was the case with our regular Augustyn, in order to be able to compare this letter better with our new ones. --- However, besides the mentioned typefaces, the cursive figures on page 12, the Arabic on page 13, the Capitals and Flowers on page 14, the others are of a new cut, manufactured with counter-punches, and very deep into the copper, by which the letters can be used for a very long time. --- One should not imagine, however, that our large Type Specimen of 1784 and this one contain and show everything that we have: this would be nearly impossible due to the sheer quantity; we consider it sufficient to provide only the most important prints, and merely note, furthermore, that we also have, among others, a fine Garmond Greek and various sorts of Music and Song Notes on diverse sizes; if, therefore, anyone would like to have something cast, which he finds neither on our previous large, nor on these Type Specimens, he should address himself to us: perhaps we have what he desires, and if that should not be the case, we are not disinclined (provided the commission is important enough) to manufacture such for him.
