A hand-colored oval map of Lower Germany, or the Low Countries, is set within a rectangular border. The border features ornate blue and orange strapwork and scrolls. In the top center, two winged cherubs hold a gilded plaque containing the title. Behind the title plaque, a complex red ribbon-like decoration flourishes against the blue sea. The map displays the coastal regions and inland territories of present-day Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and parts of France and Germany. Regions like Hollandia, Flandria, Brabantia, and Frisia are highlighted in different colors, including pink, yellow, and green. Numerous cities and towns are represented by small red structures and labels. Two sailing ships are visible in the sea. In the lower-left of the oval, a pair of compasses sits atop a scale bar. Four circular medallions at the corners of the outer frame label the cardinal directions.
