A hand-colored engraved map of the Kingdom of Hungary and the Balkan Peninsula, dating from the late 17th century. The map shows territories spanning from the Gulf of Venice (Adriatic Sea) in the west to the Black Sea in the east. Regional borders are highlighted with red, green, and yellow hand-coloring. To the bottom left, a large decorative cartouche contains the title, flanked by allegorical figures: a European monarch in royal regalia on the left and an Ottoman figure on the right. A double-headed eagle with a sword and scepter surmounts the cartouche. Several sailing vessels are depicted in the seas, and a compass rose is situated in the Black Sea.
