but flows only from the parastatae seminal vesicles or prostate region, just as it happens more often to those who use venery immoderately. Furthermore, urine which is either suppressed or voided immoderately always indicates an affection of the kidneys, or the ureters, or the bladder, or the veins. Sweat also, flowing spontaneously and without an evident cause, warm from the whole constitution of the body, signifies an abundance of humors contained in the fleshy part. But that which is cold, even if it flows from the whole constitution or any part of the body, always signifies evil, unless it results from the surrounding air. And wherever sweat flows, there a disease is signified, according to Hippocrates in aphorism 39, section 4. Sweat, likewise, which is warm and erupts from the whole body, sometimes ends burning fevers, if it begins to flow on the third, fifth, seventh, ninth, eleventh, fourteenth, seventeenth, and thirty-fourth day, and if signs of concoction appear in the urine: for they evacuate cacochymia bad humors in the body. But he who fares otherwise, it indicates labor and the length of the disease, or the return of the same, just as Hippocrates teaches in aphorism 36, section 4. Just as from excretions, so also from these things which are contained beyond nature, signs of affected seats and affections are drawn. Therefore, if the skull is fractured and a fungus appears in the brain, it signifies that the thin membrane of the brain the meninges is wounded. If also granules are discerned under the tongue of a man, they denounce that he is seized by elephantiasis.
