Copy of the indulgences granted regarding the institution of the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by the most reverend lord Adolf, Archbishop of Mainz.

For a lasting record of the matter: From the special feeling of devotion which we bear from our innermost hearts toward our illustrious protectress, the most glorious ever-Virgin Mary, Mother of God; furthermore, desiring that the Feast of the Presentation of the same most blessed Virgin, which is celebrated annually on the twenty-first day of the month of November, henceforth be venerated solemnly on said day for all future time in perpetuity; therefore, noting and piously considering that the merits of the aforementioned most blessed Virgin toward the human race cannot be repaid with such honors, but rather
