persisting for a long time in prayer in his cell, fell asleep a little, behold, in his dreams appeared a most clear star of prime magnitude, moving in a straight line, not at a high altitude, but as if it were moving near the earth at the stature of a man. It seemed that this star of this kind had its origin from the Castle of Saint Angelo, whence the same saint drew his origin, having its beginning, but proceeding in a straight motion to the altar behind the choir of the oratory, which then was towards the cloister, where he had been accustomed to celebrate more frequently in the morning and to persist in prayer more frequently during the day and sometimes at night, having stability and a destination. At the spectacle of this thing, people of various provinces and languages, as it seemed to him, arrived. And when he was certified of this miraculous sign not only on that night but on many other nights, he began to think with wonder within his mind what this vision might signify for him. Not finding it, he opened his vision under secrecy to a certain brother of good reputation and praiseworthy life, who replied with a certain prophetic sermon, saying: "Reverend father, if this star is truly a presage of your holiness, my mind does not turn into doubt, since where the star completed its motion, there your body will be placed. However, after a few days, when he entered the oratory in his accustomed manner during the day, a certain star went before him, as if in progressive motion, up to the aforementioned altar; and when this happened on daily days, he understood in the spirit that this day-star, which he had seen in the night, contained something as an expression of truth. When, therefore, he entered the oratory again on another day, the star preceded as before, and when the holy man had made a gesture of reverence and some prayer before the mentioned altar, walking for a long time in the oratory, he did not see the star further; but when he went to the altar, the star immediately appeared over the same place. And when this happened to him for many years before his death, he, acknowledging not his own but God's glory with all humility, gave thanks to God, the giver of all good things. And when the time of his migration arrived, he asked the brothers in all charity to bury him in that place, so that
