I exorcise you, O creature of salt in the name of God † the living, by the true God, by the God † the holy, by God through God who commanded you to be cast into the water by the prophet Elisha, so that the sterility of the water might be healed, that you may become exorcised salt for the salvation of the believers, and that for all who take you, you may be health of soul and body, and that every fantasy and wickedness or snare of devilish deceit may flee and depart from the place where you are sprinkled, and every unclean spirit, adjured by Him who shall come to judge the living and the dead and the world by fire. Amen. †

¶ Let us pray

We humbly implore and ask of your immense clemency, Almighty Eternal God, that you would deign by your piety to bless † and sanctify † this creature of salt which you have provided for the use of the human race, that it may be for all who take it health of mind and body, and that whatever is touched or sprinkled by it may be freed from all uncleanness and from every attack of spiritual wickedness, through Christ our Lord. Amen. †
