Almighty Eternal God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, deign to look upon this servant of yours, N., whom you have deigned to call to the rudiments of the faith. Expel from him all blindness of heart. Break all the snares of Satan by which he has been bound. Open to him, O Lord, the door of your piety, so that, imbued with the sign of wisdom, he may be free from the stench of all lusts and may serve you joyfully in your Church in the sweet odor of your precepts, and may progress from day to day, so that he may be made fit to approach the grace of your baptism, having received the medicine.
