The front cover of a historical book, bound in dark brown leather with extensive blind tooling. The decoration includes a large central diamond pattern formed by repeated floral and geometric stamps, surrounded by various individual stamps of flowers, fleur-de-lis, and circles within the leather. Four brass corner guards protect the edges, and two decorative brass clasps are mounted on the right fore-edge. A small, rectangular paper label is pasted near the top, bearing handwritten Latin text and a shelfmark.
