The image shows the front cover of a historical manuscript volume. The binding is likely made of vellum or pigskin over wooden boards, featuring extensive blind-stamped decoration. A series of triple-ruled lines form nested rectangular borders and a large central diamond-shaped lozenge. Small, individual ornamental stamps, possibly floral or foliate motifs, are visible within the borders and at the corners. The entire surface is covered in numerous small, dark circular holes, indicative of significant insect damage (wormholes). Two brass or bronze clasps are attached to the right (fore-edge) of the cover. Near the top edge, a rectangular parchment or paper label is pasted, bearing the title "Omniales" in a gothic or blackletter script. The word begins with a large, decorative red initial "O", while the remaining letters are in black ink.
