A historical book binding, likely 15th or 16th century, is made of light brown leather or parchment over boards. It features blind-stamped decorative patterns, including a double-ruled border framing the cover. In the center, a saltire (X-shaped) design is formed by diagonal lines, accented with floral stamps, or fleurons, at the center and ends. Stamped scroll-like banners appear at the top and bottom center. On the right fore-edge, two ornate brass or bronze metal clasps are attached to the board. The spine on the left shows five prominent raised bands. Handwritten Latin text is inscribed in the upper third of the cover.
