for their good works, etc., as is clear in the Gospel of Matthew 25: I was hungry and you gave me to eat, etc. Therefore, come, blessed, etc. Go, cursed, etc.

Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business? Luke 2:49 Note that three things are of great utility for all men. The first is that a man knows how to guard everything well that he acquired through great labor. Whence Joshua 22: Be solicitous to guard what you have acquired, lest a thief should desire it from you. The second is seeking diligently what is lost. Luke 15: If a woman loses one drachma, does she not light a lamp and search, etc.? The third is that consolation is to be received for things found that were lost and acquired, because it is natural that if a man has lost something and finds it, he rejoices, as is clear regarding the prodigal son and the hundredth sheep in Luke 15: Congratulate me, all, because I found the drachma that I had lost. Concerning these three things, it is read in the Gospel about Jesus.
When Jesus was twelve years old, Joseph and Mary were going up from Nazareth because of the festival into the temple in Jerusalem, the boy went with them. The seven days being finished, according to the custom of the festival day, when they were returning, the boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem and they did not know it. Mary and
Joseph, estimating Him to be in the company, because the women were going in one crowd and the men in another, and thus Joseph thought the boy to be in the company of the women, and Mary thought Him to be in the company of the men with Joseph, and thus He remained voluntarily in Jerusalem. They came a day's journey, that is, in one day's journey, and they were seeking Him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances, and not finding Him, they returned to Jerusalem seeking Him. And it happened after three days they found Him in the temple sitting in the midst of the doctors, hearing them and asking them. At which all were admiring and were astonished at His prudence and His answers. And all who seeing that a boy of twelve years was speaking such subtle things that he never learned were amazed whence he had such wisdom. But His mother said to the boy when she found Him there: Son, why have you done so to us? Your father, that is, Joseph, and I, sorrowing, were seeking you. And He said to them: Why were you seeking me? Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business? And they did not understand this word that He spoke to them, because He was speaking about the redemption of the human race. And He descended with them from the city of Jerusalem, which was on a mountain, and came to Nazareth, which was in a valley, and was subject to them, so that He might give an example of obedience to all boys.
