Fourth, on the day of judgment, this voice will be of My glory when I shall call most gloriously all those elected from eternity and called to the kingdom of beauty and glory, saying, "Come, you blessed of my Father," etc. Matthew 25:34
Why the face of the Lord is compared to the sun.
In the Mass "Come and show" Psalm 80:3, "Veni et ostende", common in Advent, when she was praying for all, that they might desire the face of God with their whole heart, she saw the Lord standing in the midst of the choir, whose face, radiating like a thousand suns, illuminated each person with a solar ray. When she asked why His face bore the appearance of the sun, He answered, "The sun has three properties in which it resembles Me. For the sun warms; thus those approaching Me are warmed by love, and just as wax melts from the face of fire, so their hearts are warmed at My presence. Also, just as the sun makes all things bear fruit, so My presence makes the soul virtuous and fruitful in good works. And just as it illuminates, so I illuminate everyone coming to Me with the light of divine knowledge." After this, recalling that verse, "He has exulted as a giant to run his course" Psalm 19:5, she said to the Lord, "My Lord God, what have You inspired in these words of the prophet?" To whom the Lord immediately appeared standing in heaven like a youth, tall, agile, and very handsome, girded with a girdle made of red and green and white silk, and He said, "He who is to run a long and difficult path must gird himself higher with a strong girdle, so that his clothes do not impede his path. The red silk, when it is good, is stronger than the other. Thus, My passion was stronger than all martyrdom. For it strengthened the faith, hope, and charity of all martyrs, and granted them the virtue of constancy and perseverance."
