The soul, however, as it seemed to her, was sitting beside the Blessed Virgin, desiring with great longing to kiss the lovable little infant. The virginal mother, after she had handed him over to the soul to be embraced, the soul, receiving the boy with ineffable love, pressed him to her heart with these words which she had never before thought of, greeting the boy.
¶ Prayer. "Hail, most sweet marrow of the heart, most blessed wisdom and refreshment of the languishing soul, I offer to you the marrow of my heart and soul in eternal praise and glory."
