AND while the mass (Lux fulgebit The light shall shine) was being sung, she was illuminated with an ineffable cognition. She understood also how the Son of God was that light, and how He had illuminated the whole world and every man in His luminous nativity. She recognized also how the fullness of all divinity dwelt in that little infant. And how the omnipotent power of God contained that little body, lest it be entirely dissipated. Also, how the inscrutable Wisdom of God lay hidden in Him: because He was of such great wisdom while lying in the manger as He is now reigning in heaven. And how the sweetness and love of the Holy Spirit were totally infused into that little infant: so that the soul who would feel this would be ineffable and beyond the capacity of human sense.
