Therefore the whole Roman people feel very well about Milo. There are here also several particular propositions, which constitute a universal conclusion. For the whole Roman people was indeed contained by these three orders.

Whence induction is named.

Furthermore, Induction, in Greek eisagoge leading into, is so called because it leads the mind of a person through many particulars into the knowledge of some universal nature and genus. But regarding the variety and nature of propositions, by which argumentations are constructed: of which some are affirmative, others negative; others universal, others particular, and suchlike, about these, I say, it will be said more conveniently in the greater Dialectic.

There remains the last species of Argumentation, the Example, in Greek paradeigma a pattern or example: which is an imperfect Induction, just as an Enthymeme is an imperfect Syllogism.
