This library is built in the open.
If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

You do not scorn the weak, though, if they believe that it was owed
To You αὐτῷ to Him [Himself] that You gave yourself for us to the Father, O Christ.
Ah, I pray that You stand by weak minds, and
That You cherish the scattered seeds of Your doctrine.
Until Your wisdom unfolds itself entirely to us,
And grants us to see the Father in clear light.
When our minds are released from the mortal prison,
And with You as Guide, they seek the high peaks of heaven.
O Christ, You restore the fatherland to exiles by Your blood,
No salvation comes to us unless You provide it.
CONCERNING THE SHIP OF CHRIST
Which is the Church of God.
After Jason transported the golden fleece
Into his fatherland, hoping for the kingdom owed to him.
The ship, having slipped from the summit, crushed the Master,
Beneath which, exhausted, he now lies at home.
Yet, O Christ, Your ship, which You govern, will not crush You,
Although it is torn through its own seams. [The Argo,
Even then, when Orion stirs waves from the deep abyss,
And the rapid winds move savage battles.
Your right hand preserves it, battered in the middle of the sea,
And You are truly the sacred anchor for Your sailors.
O living image of the eternal, and light of the parent,
Best Christ, may You defend Your gatherings.
