us, and will testify that those things are most certain which he himself said to us and taught us concerning the future life. For he himself is in the bosom of the Father, he himself descended to us from heaven, he himself laid down his soul and took it up again alive, he himself rose from the dead in a true body, he himself ascended into heaven, and carried all those believing in him thither unto himself, and will carry us all hoping in him hereafter. But what have dogs and pigs to do with this heavenly life, when outside of filth there appears to be no life to them? By this doctrine of Christ, even those Heaven is a certain place.

who say that heaven, into which Christ ascended, is no certain place, and that no one can explain where or what heaven is, will be led back to the simple way of truth and justice. For since Christ, received into glory, is now in no place, but everywhere, the consequence is that heaven, in which Christ is, is no certain place that can be pointed out by us. But that the Lord teaches far otherwise, more simply and better, these words of his which we have recited will presently prove.
