that they are transgressors of the commandments of God
and therefore shall be punished by pestilence,
the sword, discord, and fire. Just as the ordinances
of God, so too the just ordinances of the kingdom, of
privileges, and of decrees, princes must not violate:
Romans 12, 13. Furthermore, they are the ordinance of
God because princes are not chosen without the will
and power of God. And if anyone seeks the election or
the principality by running illegitimately without the
protection of God, the authority, and the calling of
the kingdom, he shall be confounded through
conspiracies and corruption.
They are called the anointed of the Lord or
Christs for this reason: because they ought to perform
the office of God in preserving and defending the true
religion, faith, and celestial doctrine. It is said:
Princes and kings shall be your nursing fathers. Isaiah
47, 49. Therefore, it behooves true pastors to be
defended, preserved, and guarded by true and Christian
princes under just patronage in the true faith and
doctrine. But they ought to cast out the bad and
perfidious heretics, just as the just Elijah did,
where heretics have been convicted by Divine truth.
Just as the Francis-Blandratan heretics have already
been frequently convicted as foul Antichrists. For
they have never been able to prove these four of their
dogmas and impious heresies from the mouth of the
Lord, except through false consequences and the
impious twisting of the scriptures: first,
