at Torda, the 21st day of October,
in the Year of our Lord 1571.
TWENTY-THIRD INSTITUTION.
Just as in God the Father, paternity and Deity are one eternal and infinite thing, nor did it begin in time: so in the only-begotten Word of God, sonship and the unity of the Deity are eternal and infinite, as the Son says: I am Iehouah Jehovah, Creator, Savior. By myself I swear, because every knee shall bend to me; before me, there was no other God. I am in the Father, the Father is in me. Just as the Father had life in himself eternally, so he has given to the Son to have life in himself. The Father did not leave me. But just as the flesh and soul of man were made at the end of the age: so the crucified human, Christ, was made Lord and was exalted because of the Word of God, offering his own flesh to God through the eternal Spirit, solving the antilytron ransom price, destroying sin and death, and restoring all things.
