JESUS OF NAZARETH,

AN EXPLANATION OF THE PASSAGE IN THE
holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to
Matthew, chapter 2, verse 23: He shall be called a Nazarene: as it was recounted in a public auditorium to the students of Theology, alumni of the Bernese Republic, by N. Colladon of Bourges, Professor of the sacred letters in the school of Lausanne.
"And having come (namely, Joseph, into the parts of Galilee, having taken the child Jesus and his mother), he dwelt in a city called Nazareth, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets, that he shall be called a Nazarene."
And when he had come (namely Joseph into the parts of Galilee, having taken the child Jesus, and his mother) he lived in the city which is called Nazareth: so that what was said through the Prophets might be fulfilled, that he would be called a Nazarene.
