You are able to undertake sublime duties with excellent praise:
And to add help to doubtful matters.
You are able to calm disputes, you know how to calm
Separated hearts: and thus to inhibit true wild beasts.
Hence, Aichmann, the grave labors of hunting are justly
Compensated by the honor of your title, Doctor.
Thus you have just touched the summit of the hoped-for honor:
Indeed these are the worthy rewards of your course.
Why therefore do we all with congratulatory words
Say songs associated with auspicious prayers:
Why therefore do we all loosen our votive mouths:
While your names have been increased by the name of yours.
For the Doctor's order is conferred upon you: much power
Of handling is now new: and new law.
The noble name of Doctor of Law, and it is ample:
And it makes you always mindful of your duty.
Come, act, little Son, and Vogler, each tender,
They carry double torches, with gleaming fire,
Indeed the one skilled in Law is in dark causes,
What a shimmering torch is in dark places at night.
What rises with this light reflecting its wagons, Bootes the constellation Boötes,
What decorates your feast, pleasant Doctor:
As the Arctophylax the Bear-keeper, a name for Boötes is the guardian of the Erymanthian bear the constellation Ursa Major,
Observing and leading the ways of the same, a vigilant one:
So may you be a most vigilant guardian of nourishing Justice,
Observe its ways for all time.
Be, Martin, marasteinon a Greek construction perhaps meant to imply "make firm/stand fast": and extend your right hand:
Offer prayers to the hands extended by the wretched.
Martin distributes half a garment to the needy:
So much goodness was in a void soldier.
