17. Let us grant to the philosopher that there is a Sun in this Microcosm, which, placed in the middle of the universe as the most worthy place, disperses the rays of life as if from a center into the circumference.

20. And it is certain that blood is generated then and there, where the separation of hypoleimatōn residues from cooking takes place; which indeed happens very near the hollow of the liver, where the organs destined for separation immediately occur.

21. Therefore, in the hollow of the Liver will be the completion of the blood, by which its form is induced; just as the ducts of the passages carrying away the perittomata excrements/waste, when they are carried from that region, sufficiently show.

22. Nowhere does a more convenient place occur for the production of this work, since those things that can be required for this are offered as near as possible in readiness.
