6. For since Christ died for all, so that those who live should henceforth not live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again for them (2 Cor. verse 15), it is fitting that all our life be sacred to Him alone, and that we meditate on nothing but heavenly things. Col. 3, verse 1.
7. But just as the head of a living being confers life, motion, and sense upon all the members of the whole body: So Christ Jesus, who is the head of the Church, gives salvation to the body: He communicates to the faithful the life of God, the full knowledge and perception original: ἐπίγνωσιν καὶ αἴσθησιν of charity, the spiritual motions pleasing to God, and makes them have senses trained original: αἰσθητήρια γεγυμνασμένα for the discernment of good and evil. Eph. 5, verse 23; Phil. 1, verse 9; Heb. 5, verse 14.
8. Concerning the beginnings of eternal life, which we enjoy in this life, the Apostle says: "Your life is hidden in God," Col. 3, verse 3. Beginning of eternal life

We conclude that that blessed life is a gift of God, which, as the constant activity original: "ἐνέργεια" of His life, the Father operates in us through Jesus Christ living and acting in us, and regenerating us by the power of His spirit to eternal and indissoluble original: ἀκατάλυτος life, so that we, apprehending that through faith, may fully enjoy it in the future regeneration, for our restoration and God's glory. 1. The faithful alone are heirs of eternal life. According to the saying, "As many as were ordained to eternal life, believed." Acts 13, verse 48. Likewise, "Indeed, God has also given repentance unto life to the Gentiles." Acts 11, verse 18.
2. For just as faith is not of all, but only of the Elect of God (2 Thess. 3, verse 2; Titus 1, verse 1), so not all men are the blessed of the heavenly Father, to whom alone it will be said: "Possess the kingdom prepared for you from the foundations of the World." Matt. 25, verse 34.
3. Therefore the Son of God also teaches: That the gate is narrow and the way constricted that leads to life: and that there are few who find it. Matt. 7, verse 14.
4. These travelers truly love God, and in reality experience that even all adversities contribute to their good, since they have been called according to God's purpose. Rom. 8, verse 28.
5. Moreover, Paul testifies that they are segregated from the vessels of wrath by Foreknowledge, Predestination, Vocation, Justification, Glorification, concerning which
