saying: For which reason, I say to you, her many sins are forgiven: for she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, he loves little. Luke 7, verse 47.
GOTTFRIED SCHWEIGREUTER.
1. Glorification sometimes signifies the δοξολογίαν doxology owed to God: sometimes the splendor, perfection, and integrity of all parts and powers in man.
2. This is the noble crown of our vocation, justification, and sanctification.
3. Moreover, it follows affliction and the reproach of Christ. According to the saying: If only we suffer together with Christ, that we may also be glorified together with Him. Rom. 8, verse 17.
4. This glory will be derived from Christ as the head, into us who are His members. According to the saying: We know, however, that when He shall have been revealed, we shall be like Him. 1 John 3, verse 2.
5. The body will be πνευματικόν spiritual, incorrupt, powerful, conformed to the glorious body of Christ. 1 Cor. 15, verses 42, 43, 44. Phil. 3, verse 21. But yet human, true, σωμάτιον a body, αἴσθητον perceptible, having flesh and bones. Luke 24, verses 38, 39, 40.
6. Our spirit, however, freed from all vanity, will fully enjoy the light of the knowledge of God, unspeakable joy, and other gifts of God, according to the saying: Which eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have they entered into the heart of man, which God has prepared for those who love Him. Isa. 64, verse 4. 1 Cor. 2, verse 9.
7. We shall then be ἰσάγγελοι equal to the angels: and we shall not be able to die: nor will there be any need for the Conjugal, Political, and Civil order. Luke 20, verse 36.
8. For God will be all in all. 1 Cor. 15, verse 28.
9. We shall finally experience the act concerning the world conquered by us through faith, of which John warned in these words: "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God, and he shall be my son," etc., concerning which see Rev. 21 & 22.
10. Come also, Lord Jesus, and lead those whom You have willed to be witnesses of Your truth in this old age of the World, from the earthly Academy to the heavenly, that they may enjoy the sweetness of eternal life and joy, with the holy Prophets and Apostles, to the glory of the eternal Father and their own salvation. Amen.
