5. It is necessary for the saints to be συγκοινωνὸς partakers/fellow-heirs and conformed to Christ. Romans 8:29.

VIII. First Demonstration.
From the principal efficient Cause. "We must obey the command of God holily: as the first Axiom holds."
But He seriously commands: Love Truth and Peace. And the Son of God says: Have Salt in yourselves, and have Peace with one another. Mark 9:50. The Gospel calls Salt a hieroglyph. For just as the fiery nature of Salt obtains the power of drying and purging, and wards off putrefaction, and preserves whatever it occupies, resisting death for a long time, and acting in place of a soul; and finally, it is called χάρις grace because without it all things are insipid and ungrateful: So also the Gospel is fiery by nature, as it kindles the light of faith and the flames of charity in our hearts: and it clearly testifies how we are purged from sins through the blood of Christ, and having been freed from eternal death, we obtain eternal life. But peace is always joined with the faith of it.

IX. Second Demonstration.
From Correlatives. The Truth of the Gospel and Faith acting through charity are Correlatives: as the second Axiom warns.
But from Faith which acts through charity, who would imagine that Peace can be separated?

X. Third Demonstration.
From the Material. Those things which are joined in Christ, these must not be separated in those who are Christ's: according to the third Axiom.
But these two, Truth and Peace, are joined in Christ. John 14:6: I am the way, the truth, and the life. Ephesians 2:14: He Himself is our peace, who has made both one. Also: Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17.

XI. Fourth Demonstration.
From the Definition, which is placed in the fourth position among the Axioms. Truth is celestial Wisdom.
