by faith to believe that he is certainly among the number of the predestined: let him be anathema. Yet we glory in the Lord that we believe in eternal life. But more on these matters elsewhere.
FINALLY, one sins also by the Schismatics, who refuse to love PEACE: and in reality they are the descendants of those against whom the most ardent imprecation of Paul stands: "I wish that those who unsettle you would even emasculate themselves." Galatians 5:12.
But in what place these "Androclidae" a term referencing a historical group of rebels/disruptors are to be held by us, Paul taught, saying: I beseech you, brothers, that you watch for those who cause dissensions and scandals, contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and turn away from them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly: and by smooth speech and flattery they deceive the hearts of the (people) who are not the least bit evil. Romans 16:17-18.
Peter described them skillfully, so that they could be recognized by us. They are stains and blemishes, who delight in their own frauds: they have eyes full of adultery: they cannot cease from sin: they entice unstable souls: they have a heart exercised in greed: they are accursed men: having left the straight path, they wander, and follow the way of Balaam: they are fountains without water, clouds driven by a storm: speaking proud vanity through the lascivious desires of the flesh, they entice those who had begun to be wise: they are slaves of corruption, and meanwhile promise freedom to others. 2 Peter 2:13 and following.
Judas the Apostle says that they revile things they do not know: that they wander in the way of Cain, Balaam, and Korah: that they are withered trees, unfruitful: that they are wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own disgraces: that they are wandering stars. Jude v. 10 and following.
But we who are now afflicted by these "Planets" a derogatory reference to wandering, unstable teachers, let us repeat the saying for our consolation: Do not groan against one another, brothers: lest you be condemned. BEHOLD, THE JUDGE STANDS BEFORE THE DOORS. James 5:9.
