LIX.
Most recently, on account of a kiss, according to the opinion of Baldus, Ripa, Felinus, and their followers, the woman loses her dowry. But if we observe all things more accurately, and reduce them to an exact judgment, it is clearly noted that a kiss is not such a grave matter that women should be punished for it by the loss of their dowry.
LX.
Lastly, as a finishing touch, we think it should be added in this place: that a fief can be rightly given by a woman as a dowry: provided, however, that it is given unappraised, and that its utility does not exceed the life of the person bestowing the dowry in any way.
