In the index, added at the end of the book, I have indicated where each individual writing was previously published. The author wrote his separate treatises in Latin, except for the Instruction on the Use of Clocks original: "Institutionem de Usu Horologiorum", which appeared in the Dutch language. page 193. Writings excerpted from French journals are provided in the French language. However, of those which were shared with the public among the works of the Royal Academy of Sciences in Paris, some are in French and the others in Latin, namely:
