Lacinius, Janus · 1546

F, G, H, I are mixed in turn.
F. ALTERATION. C into D ♂, D into C first, then gradually turned into one another, they are carried into M. or ♀. It is from F the potential which is the act of D itself, in which and from which: ♂ with whom, ♀ through whom, the unions themselves are generated by the art ♂.
G. MIXING. C with D only, wherefore that Propertian "male ♂, total female ♀ marriage."
H. DISSOLUTION we call it when, in both ♂ C and ♀ D, it is conceived as in a hermaphrodite.
I. GENERATION we call it partly, by which M is made from C ♂ D, and partly by which ♀ is made from M ♂ D, but in such a way that this very thing, placed in a vessel, will come forth more from nature than from the administering art.
K. COLORS. The first is black, which, as it appears first, so it appears more difficultly than the others and shows that D has lain with C and conceived. And without doubt, M. or ♀. will arise. The second is white, by which C gradually progresses to M. ♂ and thence to ♀. The third is yellow, through which it appears that everything has begun to be established into one, for the seed has been diffused into all D through the smallest parts. The fourth is red, which most manifestly demonstrates that M. or ♀. have already arisen.
L. DIGESTION is that by which, with fire moving from the outside and ♂ assisting, it results that from C ♂ D, M is perfected, or from M ♂ D, ♀ is perfected.
O. SEPARATION is in those things which are called elements, which, having arisen from B and also D, are also separated from the same.
P. OPERATION we understand either those which from B.
