All those who presume to know the good Authors in this science, hold this great personage in high regard, as being very enlightened in the secrets of nature, & altogether singular in his writings. Toward the end we have added the Ancient Duel of the Knights, or Chemical Dialogue of the Stone, Gold, & Mercury. A small treatise indeed, but as curious as any that has yet appeared. Take then in good part what I present to you, & receive this collection favorably, so as to give me the courage to communicate other books to you on the same subject. Farewell.
