A full-page Byzantine-style miniature depicts an Evangelist, likely Saint Luke, engaged in writing. The figure is seated on a cushioned wooden bench with a footstool, leaning forward toward a writing desk. He wears a voluminous brown outer robe over a blue tunic. His head is surrounded by a golden halo. Behind him is a stylized architectural structure featuring slender columns with reddish-brown shafts, white arches, and a tiled, domed roof. The entire scene is set against a solid burnished gold background. The illumination is enclosed within a wide decorative border consisting of repeating stylized foliate motifs (heart-shaped leaves) in alternating colors of blue and orange-red, set against a gold ground. Small inscriptions in Greek are visible on either side of the saint's halo.
