From where the syntax comes, and once you have recognized the path, you may arrange everything clearly, and all the books, or the art, to render to the grammarians a song i.e., a gift of knowledge offering a prayer.
An ornamental drop cap initial 'E' in red ink is decorated with pen-flourished vines, scrolls, and dots extending into the left margin.
There are all the parts of speech: noun, verb, participle, article, pronoun, preposition, adverb, and conjunction. From these four, the completion of the syntax of speech comes to be. The noun, and the verb, and the remaining parts complete the speech, the meaning; for example, "Ajax fights," "Achilles is defined." One often alters things, even those that are not so necessary, just as hairs follow the necessary parts of the body. For example, a participle is a verb, or of the others; and we write thus: "Ajax fighting, battling bravely." Often, the speech is completed from all eight parts; for example, "Ajax fights, battling, bravely," and with his body itself, you see; behold the eight parts, but two of them are necessary.
