of joy or sadness of a brother, the Lodge will delegate some brothers to him to show him the share it takes in his affairs. If a brother marries, the Lodge will send him, through a deputation, a bouquet and a piece of blue ribbon with a pair of white gloves for his new bride. He himself will return white gloves the first time he comes to the Lodge. Each Lodge must have its medal or sign, which will be worn on a white ribbon in the third buttonhole. The Scottish Masters will wear it on a green ribbon lined with red. The Scottish Jewel will be in gilded copper; the Master and Deputy Master will wear them in gold. Both will be able to wear a blue ribbon underneath, to the bottom of which the Venerable Master will attach the jewel of his position. The jewels of the dignities and offices of the Lodge are: a square for the Venerable Master, a level for the 1st Warden, a perpendicular plumb bob for the 2nd Warden, a book for the Orator, pens for the Secretary, a key for the Treasurer, and for the Almoner, a flaming heart in a triangle.
A large, elegant calligraphic flourish or paraph appears underneath the signature.
