A black and white photograph depicts a large crowd of men, many wearing fezzes and traditional Levantine or Middle Eastern robes, gathered in an open-air, rocky setting. They are huddled around a central point on the ground, likely where the meat mentioned in the text is located. In the foreground is a pile of large, unhewn stones forming a low wall or boundary.

In less than ten minutes almost every vestige of the meat is gone, the women and children being supplied in the tents.
