Samaritan calendar for the year 1936 CE (Gaster Samaritan MS 2075 and 2075A)

A large rectangular grid drawn in blue ink contains thirteen horizontal rows and four vertical columns of varying widths. The leftmost column is a narrow margin containing vertical text. The second column is the widest, containing sentences or phrases. The third and fourth columns contain shorter character groupings or individual symbols. The entire grid is filled with Buginese Lontara script.

The margin consists of a repeated rhythmic sequence in Lontara script: "Wate, e, we, purane..." which translates to "Time, oh, water, manhood/male..." This repetition suggests a rhythmic or liturgical invocation.
