So the soul can also rejoice,
Now that she is snatched from all calamity,
And that she has finally succeeded,
After many dangers, trouble, and struggles,
To cast her anchor once with certainty
In God's goodness.

This love leans on firm walls,
Which hell and Satan, yes, death,
The world, calamity, and heavy need
Can courageously defy and endure;
For nothing, no matter how heavily it grieves the heart,
Can separate us from God's love.

Oh MÜLLER, you who in your life
Prepared this glorious work,
Drawn from God's holy Word,
Your praise shall hover on everyone’s tongue;
Who can praise according to its worth your Flame of Love,
The source from which man's salvation came.
