But do not look upon / how pious or
evil we are / but rather upon your bottomless
mercy in Christ / your
dear Son given to us / Forgive
also all our enemies / and
all who do us harm or injustice /
as we also forgive them from the heart /
for they do themselves the
greatest harm / in that they provoke you to
anger against us / And we are
not helped by their destruction /
Rather we would much
sooner see them saved with us /
Amen. And whoever feels here / that he
cannot easily forgive / he may ask for
grace / so that he might be able to forgive /
But that belongs in the predig sermon.

The Sixth Petition.

( And lead us not into temptation )
and say. Oh dear Lord God
Father / Keep us awake and
